  • Description

    Product Description

Developed, tested and proven in South Florida, one of the toughest marine environments anywhere. Glidecoat is a unique process that provides a high-performance surface using nano-ceramic materials.

This process has had extensive field testing on all forms of watercraft in extreme weather conditions by accredited laboratories and has been proven to provide these benefits under the harshest conditions in marine applications.

Why Your Boat Needs It. Now

When it comes to boat surfaces, they suffer horribly from high UV levels, causing oxidization. And even a brand new boat is vulnerable to this damage. The truth of the matter is that even with wax applied, yacht and boat finishes lose surface functionality in a matter of weeks. Functions such as UV blocking, stain and salt resistance are the first to fail and continue to diminish sharply after that time.

Providing the surface has been properly prepared for treatment, Glidecoat Marine Ceramic Coating will deliver optimum protection of the original coating for up to 18 months and also provide the ability to maintain the boat with minimal effort. A simple rinse or light wash down after use.

    The Science Behind The Shine

At Glidecoat, we have been focused on the development of surface protection solutions for several years. Based on our own extensive experimentation and testing, we have developed the right mix of components, coupled with a proprietary application process that allows us to protect a new boat or to restore a powerboat or yacht, to the same surface conditions as the day it left the factory.

Nanoceramic coating is the result of an application where actual nano-ceramic particles build a consistent network of molecules on a surface.

This then makes that surface resistant to extreme corrosion, chemicals, and UV. It also restores color, gloss and surface hardness. In addition, the surface becomes hydrophobic and repels water and dirt. This means it can be easily cleaned with a hose.

Once applied, Glidecoat’s Marine Ceramic Coating will continue to preserve the surface of your craft for up to 18 months with little effort.

I’ve used your ceramic on the navy blue hull on our Searay and it’s been a life saver. Did the boat 4 years ago up here in Buffalo in the fresh water of Lake Erie. It held up perfectly for four seasons. We put a refresher coat on this month before it went into winter storage, the finish is incredible.

I can’t say enough good things about their customer service. They did a great job helping me select the products that I needed for my boat. And the product is amazing! I constantly battled stains in my non-skid deck but not since applying Glidecoat and it’s not slippery at all. It’s a bit of work doing the prep but it’s worth it for having better protection and less work going forward.

This turned my 84 champion boat to a incredible glossy gelcoat

Impressed with the product so far. It does what it’s supposed to do.

I have a 3yr old 26 ft. Carolina Skiff Ultra Elite. First, I did this myself and have no previous experience. Second, my objective was to protect my boat for as long as possible not have the shiniest boat on Sarasota Bay. I did the whole topside and outside. I followed the instructions and am very pleased with the results. The Ceramic coating is very user friendly. I did not use the heavier compound but did polish the sides and did most of the topside by hand because of the nonslip texture. I’ve had it out a few times and it is very easy to clean up and definitely hydrophobic. If Glidecoat stands the test of time as advertised I will stay a very satisfied costumer. Will update review in 18 months or so. In the first pic you can clearly see where I stopped

I used your coating on my Corsair F24 MK2 trimaran (sailboat) on white gelcoat BELOW the waterline. We have a mooring in a freshwater lake that is high in tannins. The result after two years of being in the lake is amazing, very little growth adhering to the hull and the below the waterline area is practically clean. Prior to this, bare gelcoat or gelcoat with wax after a single year resulted in days of work removing filamentous growth.

I’ve also tested your product on some of my racing surfaces (daggerboards), with tape separating clean gelcoat, wax, McLube Hullkote (our current go-to for racing), and your Marine Ceramic. After a day of cure, the Hullkote and Ceramic had very good beading, with the Ceramic section allowing the droplet of water to roll off sooner (and quicker when it started moving) in a tilt test than the Hullkote, with the bare gelcoat and wax displaying significant amounts of tension (water bead ‘stuck’ to the daggerboard).

With out a doubt the best product i have ever used on my boat. I have owned boat for over 30 years and i have used a lot of different product and i have to say this is one of the best. It does what it claim to do.

The best ceramic coating I ever used!!!! After preparing the surface of my 2003 Key Largo as instructed, I applied the Glidecoat with the applicators provided. After the first coat the finish popped with a great shine. After I applied the second coat, my 20 year old boat looked like it came off the showroom floor. Glidecoat is truly an amazing product and highly recommend it. I also purchased the Shine & Shield 2.0 to help maintain the showroom finish.

I love glide coat and all its products. It makes cleaning the boat inside and and out so easy. It makes the boat look better than brand new

    10. Steve Clothier (verified owner)

Excellent product. Easy to wipe on and level off. The gloss is insane.

    11. James Shaw (verified owner)

Put two coats on the entire boat looks fantastic.

I have 04 forwinns the shine is like new bright and deep it’s expensive but worth it and a lot cheaper then a new one.

    13. Doug Felster

Our Tiara is a 1996 31 Open. I used 3M Perfect Lite to prepare the surface for Glidecoat. I applied 2 coats to all the surfaces. All she needs this season is a wash and a wipe down using the Maintenance Bundle. You have me Sold on your product. For a 70 year old DIYer it’s a breeze to apply your product. I have recommended Glidecoat to all my boating friends.

I was very skeptical about the claims of marine ceramic coating. However, I pulled the trigger and had it done to my very faded and chalky ’97 Tiara. Believe me when I tell you, the gelcoat on my boat was in bad shape! The crew from NLS Yacht Solutions in Ft Lauderdale spent several days prepping the boat and did a fantastic job. I am quite satisfied with the final product. The Glidecoat Ceramic coating was originally done in February of this year and it still beads water like it was just applied !! No wax job has ever lasted anywhere near that. Yes, the initial job is expensive due to the amount of labor involved to compound and polish the hull and topsides in preparation to apply the ceramic. But in the long run, it lasts so much longer than any wax that has ever been applied. If you can afford to do it, I would highly recommend contacting Glidecoat and have your boat professionally prepped and the ceramic applied.

Easy on and off. Prep is everything.

Love it. I have a bass boat I done and he has been keeping up with the hours on the water and we are going to do a video on it very soon. He has logged over 100 hrs in the water and washed it once and it still looks like it did when it left my shop. I am hoping that this video demonstrates to my future customers the ease of keeping a boat clean and book some more boats before this summer.

Hello Sean, my name is Lou L, I have been a personal friend of Doug Murray for over thirty years. I recently had him apply Glidecoat marine ceramic to a 2021 SeaDoo GTX Limited 300 that I purchased in Upstate NY. My plan was to take the machine to my home in Marco Island after the first of the new year. Doug knowing how fussy I am gave me the ultimate ceramic application. Not only did he demonstrate the quality of your product, his application was a work of art with no evidence of missed areas while masking spots to not have build up or noticeable edges. I could not have been happier when I picked the machine up from his house.
I was able to tow the machine from Syracuse, NY to Marco Island, FL without a nick, chip, scratch or blemish for the entire 1,500 miles with “NO COVER” the entire way. A testament to the durability of your product.
When in FL, I needed to have a warranty performed in Naples, FL at Power Lodge Motorsports. When I brought the machine to their service lane for inspection, the service advisor, service manager, a technician and owner could not believe the visual appearance of the machine. While I am very fussy with how it looks, at that point I had put nothing but water on the machine after the 1,500 mile tow so I was pretty proud of their compliments.
Little did I know that they would be most impressed after they sea-trialed the machine in a pond / swamp out back behind their dealership. I had told them when I left the machine, no soap, no brushes, no chamois, just rinse it with a hose and I will take it from there!
When I returned to pick it up, they prefaced they had NEVER seen a machine rinse so clean coming out of the water and were blown away by the appearance after just rinsing. Once again I stress my satisfaction with the Glidecoat product.
I am now totally 100% a believer in the product and more importantly Doug’s ability to apply it and take such pride in that application. Not only do I own the first 2021 SeaDoo in FL to have Glidecoat applied, others with more knowledge in ceramic coat than I have seem to have set it apart in its overall appearance from others they have seen in the past.
That’s impressive and leaves me with a good feeling. Thanks to you, Doug and the entire team at Glidecoat for caring about your customers and their overall experience.

Zac Griffith – Stuff works amazing, I was skeptical but not now. Salt sand muck and mud it all washes off with no issues at all.

    19. KC Stilling

      Outstanding product!
Our 2012 Glastron was starting to look like “an eight year old boat”.
Now it looks better than ever!
      * Be diligent in proper preparation.
      The results are worth it.

Spent the morning applying two coats. Thus stuff is legit! I’ll send pics tomorrow. Works exactly as advertised
