Compared to other vehicles, RVs have the added challenge of gelcoat, which is much more porous than painted aluminum or steel. Through exposure to the elements, especially UV, gelcoat becomes even more porous, which leads to staining, difficulty cleaning and even a cloudy, chalky, yellow appearance caused by oxidation.
Simply remove oxidation and surface imperfections with Glidecoat compounds and polishes – then top with Glidecoat RV Ceramic Coating to restore your gelcoat to a better-than-new finish. Our ceramic coating fills the pores of your RV’s gelcoat and bonds directly to the surface to provide protection that has been tested and proven to far outlast traditional wax products.

Even a brand new RV is vulnerable to this damage.
Simply prepare the surface of your RV by removing any oxidation or surface imperfections with Glidecoat compounds and polishes – then top with Glidecoat RV Ceramic Coating to restore your gelcoat to a better-than-new finish. Our ceramic coating fills the pores of your RV’s gelcoat and bonds directly to the surface to provide protection that far outlasts traditional wax products.
The truth of the matter is that wax loses its surface functionality in a matter of weeks. Most manufacturers recommend waxing 3-5 times a year under average conditions. If you live in an area with higher temperatures (90°F or above) or have a darker colored RV, the wax can melt away even quicker – days instead of weeks. Functions such as UV blocking and stain resistance are the first to fail and then continue to diminish sharply.
Most RV owners aren’t waxing this often, either because of the effort involved, or because they are on the road. This means your RV is being left exposed to the elements and the surface is slowly deteriorating.
Glidecoat RV Ceramic vehicle coating provides a superior level of protection. It actually bonds to the surface to create a layer of protection that won’t wash or melt away – even under high temperatures. In fact, Glidecoat has had extensive field testing on all forms of gel coat and painted surfaces in extreme weather conditions by accredited independent laboratories and has been proven to provide at least 18 months of protection under even the harshest conditions. Furthermore, under “average conditions” and through proper maintenance (regular washing and application of RV Shine and Shield), the results from our ceramic coating have far exceeded this 18-month minimum.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED WITH ALL GLIDECOAT PRODUCTS.
We recommend a minimum of 2 coats applied to the surface. The following table serves as a reference when choosing the required amount of RV Ceramic Coating based on the RV size and surface area.

John Haynes –
First off don’t let the price chase you away, which I almost did. The results outweigh it. As long as you follow the steps and have the time to take the time to do it right, it comes out to a great shine. I did my RV and the prep took time, a good wash and dry. Make sure you have no water spots, they will show up, just a helpful tip. Try to do it in the shade if at all possible or do smaller sections which I had to do for a section of the RV, but it still worked out. Follow the usage correctly because I used every drop in the bottle. You would rather round up you square footage than round down. The shine appeared even more two days later with a smooth finish. Really good product and I will see what the next RV wash is like with this applied on it now.
