Esto equivale a un revestimiento de superficie lisa al que los percebes y otros organismos marinos no pueden adherirse, manteniendo la hélice y los ejes limpios y libres de crecimiento marino.
A diferencia de otros productos antiincrustantes, Prop Optimizer es un revestimiento duro (9H en la escala de Mohs de Harness) que no utiliza ningún ingrediente a base de silicona o cera. Esto crea una barrera duradera que, además de proteger el metal contra el crecimiento, puede soportar el duro entorno marino y las turbulencias que normalmente harían desaparecer los productos antiincrustantes tradicionales.
Prop Optimizer proporciona una protección durante varias temporadas que no tiene que ser eliminada por completo antes de una segunda aplicación. Esto reduce el desgaste de la hélice y del tren de rodaje.

Recomendamos aplicar un mínimo de 3 capas en todo el puntal. Se pueden aplicar más capas, pero se debe aplicar un mínimo de 3 capas para conseguir los resultados deseados. Where I live the water is shallow and we have a very sandy bottom. Prior to using Glidecoat Prop Optimizer the competitive product I applied would be removed given the abrasion from the sand within months. With Glidecoat, I lightly clean off the props when diving on the boat, removing any growth that has settled. After a year the props look as good as they did the day I splashed them a year ago.
